So, to focus on the better portions of my school, I shall complement my band teacher, who, if I may say, is the best damn teacher my school will ever see. He actually makes sure we understand the music, he enspires, gives courage, and shall always hold a special place in my heart. Along with the band teacher, another gentleman has the exact same qualities. He is the director of the music academy. Both of them, if given the chance, would become the principal of the place.
I'm done now, peace.
That is great. I hope you keep up as a musician throughout your entire life, like keep playing always. I had some rough conductors in my days and it is especially important for young musicians to find an encouraging one.
That's great!
Keep in touch with the music, no matter what distractions or pitfalls get in your way. Talents like this need to be nutrnurtured. Good music, like good writing, is a camodity these days which is steadily declining in lew of unoriginality.
Originality is deffinitely dwindling. All the shit with the synthetic pop music has put real musicians, who actually put a horn to their lips, and a bass or guitar in their hand, in a real fix. To my knowledge, metal is the only genre that uses true instruments. Maybe some pop. But, orchestral pieces are the bomb! True instruments all the way.
That's right fellow musician! Live music is always better!
Hellyeah! Live is real, CD'S are shit, and hip-hop is getting on my nerves. The fuckers can't even sing without technology. Seriously, if you can't maintain your key without autotune, you need to find another profession.
You got that right! Where is the musicianship these days? Not much anywhere anymore. And I hate those that keep taking my jobs because they will play for free or cheap or for beer!
21st century bullshit, do it for the liquor! That's how ther work.
That's exactly it! They have no respect for themselves or no value for their craft anymore!
I agree with you guys. Natural singing is better in my opinion. However, everything changes with technology over time. It seems as though these artists continue to have fans and continue to roll in the big bucks. So thinking from their point of view, why not do what the majority enjoys? You have to keep up with the times, or you lose business and money.
That is why some of my colleagues are turning to video game music to draw in orchestral audiences.
I like orchestral pieces, and the great amounts of recordings there are. Garage Band, to be fair, does a fair job in some cases.
It does, but when people start replacing us live orchestral players with recordings in broadway pits, the audience might as well stay home and watch a movie because they come to hear live performers not recorded canned music.
